Azerbaijan produced 23.94 billion cubic meters of gas in 2019, as compared to 18.76 billion cubic meters in 2018, Trend reports citing Eni’s World Gas and Renewables Review 2020.
Eni estimates that the country’s natural gas production stood at 5.32 billion cubic meters in 2000, 5.40 billion cubic meters in 2005, 16.27 billion cubic meters in 2010 and 18.78 billion cubic meters in 2015.
The volume of natural gas production nosedived to 18.28 billion cubic meters in 2016 and 17.76 billion cubic meters in 2017, before recovering to 18.76 billion cubic meters in 2018.
Azerbaijan’s gas reserves have increased from 1.435 trillion cubic meters in 2018 to 1.917 trillion cubic meters in 2019.
Azerbaijan’s gas reserves stood at 499 billion cubic meters in 2000 and 2005 each, then rising to 515 billion cubic meters in 2010 and 665 billion cubic meters in 2015 and 2016.
The country’s gas reserves rose to 1.074 trillion cubic meters in 2017, 1.435 trillion cubic meters in 2018.
