Iran launches new projects in water and power industries

Iran's Minister of Energy has inaugurated 17 projects in water and power industries valued at $135 million in three Iranian provinces.

The following projects were inaugurated on Tuesday with $135 million credit in Tehran, Ilam, and Golestan provinces, Trend reports citing IRNA.

The inaugurated projects included one project in Tehran Province, eight projects in Golestan Province, and eight projects in Ilam Province.

The water transmission project in Tehran Province will distribute water to 43 villages and create access to drinking water to 14,000 households.

The projects in Golestan Province include small scale generator of 25 megawatts, reform of 28 power transmission projects, increase of power transmission substation capacity in Gorgan, an increase of substation in Gonbad, power transmission substation in Badraq-e Molla, development of keyboards of 20-kilowatt substations in Ataabad, Kalaleh, and Kordkuy counties, reforming of stations and lines and water transmission to 39 cities and villages.

The projects in Ilam Province include a 230-kilowatt substation in the city of Murmuri in Kalat County and its connection, the 63-kilowatt Sarableh - Loumar power line, development of keyboard in substation 20 and the 132 kilowatts in Dehloran, the first phase of small scale power plant in Ilam with the production capacity of 2.5 megawatts.

The projects are targeted to prevent power cut, increase network sustainability and consistent power supply to provide for users' energy consumption, increase uninterruptable power supply from 63-kilowatt base bars, and compensating for damages of flood and drinking water supply.
