Kazakhstan decreases crude oil, petroleum products export to EAEU members

Kazakhstan has exported 41,950 tons of crude oil including gas condensate worth $9.1 million to Russia over the period from Jan. through Sept. 2020, Trend reports citing the data of Eurasian Economic Commission.

The report said that this is 25.7 percent less in volume and 51.8 percent less in value than during the same period of last year.

Furthermore, during the reporting period of 2020, Kazakhstan has also exported petroleum products worth $60.8 million to Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) member countries, which is 43.8 percent less than during the same period of last year.

Thus, some 47,451 tons of petroleum products worth $16.3 million were exported to Russia, 90,448 tons worth $20.7 million tons to Kyrgyzstan, and 23,408 tons worth 6.1 million tons to Belarus.

Kazakhstan has also exported 40 million liters of liquefied petroleum products worth $17.3 million to Kyrgyzstan during the reporting period, as well as 1.7 million liters worth $338,796 to Russia.

In turn, natural and liquefied gas exports from Kazakhstan to EAEU member-countries amounted to $128.08 million, which indicates a decrease of 33.7 percent.

Thus, 127,493 tons worth $14.6 million were exported to Russia, 18,986 tons worth $4.9 million to Kyrgyzstan, and 5,982 tons worth $1.6 million to Belarus.

During the reporting period, Kazakhstan has also exported 4.8 billion cubic meters of natural and liquefied gas worth $81.8 million to Russia, as well as 167.7 million cubic meters worth $24.9 million to Kyrgyzstan.

The report said that during the reporting period Kazakhstan has also exported 840.1 million kWh of electricity for a total of $11.1 million, which is 25.6 percent less in volume and 43.5 percent less in value.

Some 766.9 million kWh worth $11.1 million were exported to Russia, whereas 73,168 kWh worth $9,354 were exported to Kyrgyzstan.
