Water resources of Iran announced

The water reserves of Iran's dams amounted to about 26.4 billion cubic meters since the beginning of the current Iranian year (March 20, 2020) to December 18, Trend reports citing Iran Water Resources Management Company’s website.

According to the statistics, water reserves increased by 1 percent compared to the same period of the last Iranian year.

“In general, the reserve capacity of Iran's dams is 50.5 billion cubic meters. At present, 52 percent of Iran's dams are full,” the statistics said.

Until December 21, the volume of water pumping the Iranian dams was 7.18 billion cubic meters. This is an increase of 2 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year. Thus, 7.01 million cubic meters of water pumped the dams in the same period last Iranian year, the statistics said.

According to the statistics, the volume of water flowing from Iran's dams amounted to 7.98 billion cubic meters until of December 18. This is a decrease of 16 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year.
