First Iranian-made wind turbine installed

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Dec. 27

The first Iranian-made wind turbine has been installed in Binalud district of Razavi Khorasan Province (northeastern Iran), an official of Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Organization of Iran, Ali Shabnavard said, Trend reports citing the organization’s website.

The official noted that this wind turbine can produce 250 kilowatt-hours of electricity.

He added that 119 power substations on alternative energy were launched over the past two months.

Shabnavard stressed that in total, 4,650 units power substations have been launched in Iran, so far.

According to the official, at the next stage, 38 power substations with a capacity of 638 kilowatt-hours are to be launched in Isfahan Province, and 6 power substations with a capacity of 225 kilowatt-hours in the Markazi Province.
