Iran lays foundation of solar panel station in  Isfahan Province

The foundation of a 10-megawatt solar panel station in the Isfahan Province (central Iran) was laid for the first time, Trend reports citing Ministry of Energy of Iran.

According to the report, Iranian Deputy Energy Minister Homayoun Haeri attended the event dedicated to the laying of the foundation of the station.

Speaking in the event, the deputy minister said that all investments in the construction of this station have been provided by the private sector and 7 people will be employed after the launch of the station.

Haeri added that about 6 million euros will be spent on the construction of the station. This station is planned to be launched in the next 6 months.

"All equipment and panels of the solar panel station are produced domestically," he said.

The minister noted that currently, more than 60 percent of the electricity generated by power plants in Iran belongs to the private sector.
