The Changuleh oil field in the Ilam Province (western Iran) is a 'complex and difficult' field, just as the Azar oil field, the Executive Director of Sarvak Azar Engineering & Development Company Majid Habibi said, Trend reports citing the Shana news agency.

The director noted that Iran's Sarvak Azar Engineering & Development Company has declared its readiness to develop the Changuleh oil field.

As reported, a contract on Iran's Changuleh oil field will be signed soon.

The Changuleh oil field is a joint oil field between Iran and Iraq. It is estimated that the field contains about 4.3 billion barrels of oil. Iran currently extracts daily 15,000 barrels of oil from this field.

As reported, yesterday on March 1, the Azar oil field and the plant of the Kangan Petro Refining Company were officially put into operation in Iran at a total cost of $2.6 billion.
