Prices of oil, some petroleum products on the rise in Kazakhstan

The prices on goods of Kazakhstan’s industrial manufacturers have increased by 3.1 percent in Feb. 2021 as compared to Jan. 2021 and by 3.9 percent as compared to Feb. 2020, Trend reports citing Kazakhstan’s Statistical Committee.

Thus, in the mining industry, oil prices increased by 5.8 percent compared to Jan. 2021, coal by 1.3 percent, metal ores by 0.9 percent.

In processing steel prices increased on rolled ferrous metals by 4.4 percent, copper by 2.6 percent, ferroalloys by 0.5 percent, aluminum and lead by 0.6 percent each, zinc by 0.5 percent.

The prices on petroleum products increased as follows: fuel oil and gasoline rose in price by 3.2 percent, diesel fuel by 2 percent, propane and liquefied butane by 1.4 percent.

In regards, to the food items, prices increased on vegetable oil by 4.5 percent, rye flour by 3.3 percent, wheat flour by 2.6 percent, bread by 0.8 percent, cereals and dairy products - by 0.5 percent, cattle meat and sugar by 0.4 percent, poultry meat by 0.3 percent.

In turn, the prices of rice decreased by 0.4 percent month-on-month.

Talking electricity and water supply, prices for steam and hot water supply services increased by 0.7 percent, whereas tariffs on water distribution surged by 0.3 percent.
