The Uzbekistan GTL (gas to liquids) plant for the first time received fuel gas from the main gas pipeline of Uztransgaz JSC, Trend reports referring to the press service of the Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan.

According to the ministry, the fuel gas system (unit No. 78) of the GTL plant was put into operation with the start of receiving fuel gas, and the next stage of key pre-commissioning and commissioning works of technological equipment and installations begins.

“The receipt of fuel gas at the GTL plant was safely and completed thanks to close cooperation and well-coordinated work of a team of specialists from Uzbekistan GTL, Shurtan Gas Chemical Complex, and EPC contractor,” the ministry noted.

It was noted that the construction and installation of a gas pipeline to supply fuel gas to the GTL plant was carried out by the Shurtan Gas Chemical Complex.

In addition, in the near future, it is planned to commission the plant's boiler plants and start steam production.

The ministry also stressed that the pre-commissioning and commissioning work at the Uzbekistan GTL plant continues at an active pace.

Earlier it was reported that the commissioning of the Uzbekistan GTL plant in full is scheduled for this year. The plant will produce 93,000 tons of aviation kerosene, 220,000 tons of diesel fuel, 133,000 tons of naphtha, and 16,000 tons of liquefied gas.
