A 25-megawatt power plant is being built in the Noshahr County of Mazandaran Province (northern Iran) with an investment of private sector, the governor of Iran's Noshahr County, Saeed Yazdani said, Trend reports citing the IRNA.
Yazdani noted that the investor has already purchased more than 90 percent of the power plant's equipment.
The governor added that the first 12.5-megawatt unit of the power plant will be launched until June 22.
“The Bank Saderat Iran issues the necessary loans to the investor in connection with the construction of the power plant,” he said.
According to Yazdani, the making of private sector investments in energy production is one of the major policies of the Iranian government
As reported, there are a 400-megawatt and a 25-megawatt power plants operating in the Noshahr city of Iran at present.
