Azerbaijan exported 2.93 million tons of crude oil worth $1.04 billion to Italy from January through February 2021, Trend reports on Mar.18 referring to the State Statistical Committee.
According to the committee, in the reporting period, the total volume of Azerbaijan’s oil export was more than 5.6 million tons, up by 0.3 percent over the year, while the total export value – more than $2 billion (25 percent decrease compared to 2M2020). The share of Italy in the exports of Azerbaijan amounted to 51.4 percent.
Azerbaijan's expenses on imports from Italy grew by 7.3 percent in 2020 compared to 2019.
Besides, exports from Azerbaijan to Italy made up $4.17 billion, which is 25 percent less than in the previous year.
The volume of foreign trade operations between Azerbaijan and Italy amounted to over $4.5 billion, an annual decrease of 24 percent.
