SOCAR among TOP-10 LPG importers to Ukraine

Azerbaijani state oil company SOCAR is among the TOP-10 importers of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) to Ukraine for 28 days in March 2021, Trend reports with reference to Ukrainian media.

During the reporting period, SOCAR imported 3,250 tons of LPG to Ukraine in 28 days in March, which is 2.89 percent less compared to 3,350 tons in February.

In general, LPG supplies to Ukraine for the reporting period stood at 119,100 tons, which is 11,000 tons, or 10 percent more than the same period in February.

The largest volume of imports accounted for the Grand Prix Oil with 12,820 tons.

Azerbaijani state oil company SOCAR’s representative office opened in Ukraine in 2008.

The company acquired about 20 Tala-Nafta filling stations in Odessa and Nikolaev regions. as well as Svitanok large oil depot in Odessa region in 2009.

The company took control of the fuelling networks ONIO (four filling stations in Kyiv and the region) and GFC (in Lviv region) in 2010-2011. SOCAR received permission from the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine to purchase 26 filling stations and one tank farm of the Kalina group in August 2012.
