Iran's major plans include launching new electricity facilities

A number of facilities will be put into operation in Iran within the framework of 5 major plans in the electricity sector on Apr. 6, Trend reports citing the Ministry of Energy of Iran.

According to the report, 8,140 operations were carried out within these plans. The operations include the development operations, establishment operations, and improvement of the efficiency of the electricity network, and so on. These operations were carried out in 31 provinces of Iran.

“A total of 29 trillion rials (about $690 million) has been invested in this direction,” the report said.

Iranian Energy Minister Reza Ardakanian and other officials will attend the opening ceremony of the facilities.

Reportedly, 307 water and electricity facilities were put into operation in Iran in the last Iranian year (from March 20, 2020 through March 20, 2021). In total, 810 trillion rials (about $19.2 billion) was spent on all these facilities.
