The Iranian Central Oil Fields Company (ICOFC) produced 63 million barrels of crude oil and gas condensate in the last Iranian year (from March 20, 2020, through March 20, 2021), said Ahmad Rajabi Technical affairs director of the ICOFC, Trend reports citing the company’s information portal.
Rajabi stressed that the company also produced about 70 billion cubic meters of gas in the last Iranian year.
The director added that a number of problems, including the spread of coronavirus pandemic, US sanctions, and other problems, have not affected the company's production.
Iranian Central Oil Zones Company produces oil and gas from 28 fields.
The US imposed new sanctions on Iran in November 2018. Over the past period, the sanctions affected Iranian oil exports, more than 700 banks, companies, and individuals.
