Azerbaijan’s oils supplies to Greece in Eurostat’s estimates

BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 6

Azerbaijan has supplied 149,583 tons of petroleum oils worth 43.5 million euros to Greece from January through February 2021, Eurostat told Trend.

Greece imported 13,668 tons of petroleum oils and oils obtained from bituminous minerals, crude worth 383,764,557 euros from Azerbaijan in 2020.

The export of petroleum oils and oils obtained from bituminous minerals, crude from Azerbaijan to 27 European Union (EU) countries stood at 1.27 billion euros from January through February 2021.

The country exported 1.5 million tons of petroleum oils worth 500.2 million euros to EU countries in January and 2.2 million tons worth 775.8 million euros in February 2021.

The data of Azerbaijan’s State Customs Committee shows that from January through March 2021, Azerbaijan exported a total of over 7 million tons of oil, which is 7 percent less compared to the same period of 2021. In value terms, oil exports amounted to $2.66 billion, showing a decrease of 24.3 percent on annual basis.
