Iran is planned to manufacture 60 types of important equipment and spare parts in the drilling sector domestically in the current Iranian year (from March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022), an official of the National Iranian Drilling Company (NIDC) Behnud Mansournejad said, Trend reports citing the company’s website.

According to him, the equipment and spare parts will be used for drilling operations, maintenance and so on.

Mansournejad added that 80 types of spare parts and equipment in the drilling sector were domestically manufactured in Iran for the first time over the last Iranian year (from March 20, 2020 through March 20, 2021).

The official noted that there was an increase in the manufacturing of spare parts and equipment last Iranian year. So, more 20 types of spare parts have been manufactured than planned.

Reportedly, the National Iranian Drilling Company drilled and improved 9 oil and gas wells in the 1st month of the current Iranian year (March 21 through April 20, 2021). Of the drilled wells, 1 was a development well, 1 was a delineation, and 7 were repair wells. A total of 6,720 meters were drilled during a month.
