Georgia increases aviation fuel imports

BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 13

Tamilla Mammadova – Trend:

Aviation fuel imports to Georgia amounted to 5,200 tons in April 2021 that is 300 tons or 6.1 percent more than in the same period of last year (1,000 tons), Trend reports via the Union of Oil Products Importers.

In April 2021 65.4 percent of aviation fuel was imported from Turkmenistan (3,400 tons); 11.5 percent (600 tons) from Turkey; 9.6 percent (500 tons) - from Azerbaijan; 9.6 percent (500 tons)- from Greece and 3.8 percent (200 tons) from Italy.

Apart from that, from January through April imports of aviation fuel amounted to 16,200 tons that is 3,300 tons or 16.9 percent less than in the same period of last year (19,500 tons).

From January through April 63.6 percent (10,300 tons) of aviation fuel was imported from Turkmenistan, 11.7 percent (1,900 tons) - from Turkey, 9.2 percent (1,500 tons) - from Italy; 6.2 percent (1,000 tons) - from Azerbaijan; 6.2 percent (1,000 tons) from Greece; 3.1 percent (500 tons) - from Russia.
