Turkmenistan’s Turkmengas State Concern will conclude a contract with Russia’s Pipe Metallurgical Company and Swiss GAZPROM Schweiz AG company for the purchase of pipe products, Trend reports with reference to the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.
The corresponding resolution authorizing the contract was signed by the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
The contract will be signed in order to timely provide the necessary pipe products for the laying of the external gas supply pipeline of the gas turbine power plant under construction in the Charjev district of Turkmenistan’s Lebap region.
As reported, Turkmengas also cooperates with many foreign companies.
Fruitful cooperation has been established with the China National Oil and Gas Corporation (CNPC). CNPC, under the terms of the Production Sharing Agreement, develops deposits on the Bagtyyarlyk contract area.
In the future, CNPC intends to expand cooperation with the Turkmengas, in particular, to strengthen ties in the field of exploration and development of oil and gas resources and the petrochemical industry.
During the entire period of cooperation till December 2020, CNPC International Turkmenistan has drilled about 170 wells in the country, built 2 gas processing plants with an annual capacity of 17 billion cubic meters, and created 22,000 jobs for residents.
The volume of investments of CNPC, operating since 2007 in this contract territory in the eastern part of Turkmenistan, at the beginning of 2020 amounted to more than $8.2 billion.
Many foreign companies work in the oil and gas sector of Turkmenistan, including the CNPC, Dragon oil (UAE), Petronas (Malaysia), Eni (Italy), Mitro International (Austria), and others work in the country in the field of exploration and development of fields.
