Turkey decreases import of crude oil from Kazakhstan

BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 11

Turkey has imported a total of 288,258 tons of crude oil in August 2021 from Kazakhstan, which accounted for 7.02 percent of total Turkey’s crude oil imports for the month, Trend reports citing Turkey’s Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK).

Thus, Turkey’s import of Kazakh crude oil decreased by 0.4 percent compared to January 2021 (289,589 tons) and by 49.8 percent compared to the volume imported in July 2020 (575,258 tons).

Turkey’s import of crude oil from Kazakhstan from January through August 2021 amounted to 3.07 million tons.

Kazakhstan’s foreign trade turnover amounted to $62.8 billion over the period from January through August 2021, which indicates an increase of 10 percent as compared to $57.09 billion during the same period last year.
