The electricity generation of the Ramin Thermal Power Plant in the Khuzestan Province (southwestern Iran) increased by 5.81 percent, during the first nine months of the current Iranian year (March 21through December 21, 2021), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Executive Director of Ramin TPP, Khalil Mohammadi said, Trend reports citing Iranian Energy Ministry.
The director noted that the Ramin TPP generated more than 7.37 million megawatt-hours of electricity in 9 months.
Mohammadi also said that the Ramin TPP generated an average of 234 megawatt-hours of electricity in nine months. The thermal power plant operated for an average of 31,600 hours within the mentioned period, which is an increase of 5 percent, compared to the same period last Iranian year.
Iran's Ramin Thermal Power Plant is considered the largest TPP in Iran. This thermal power plant has 6 steam units each capacity of 315 megawatts.
