Georgia’s imports of petroleum and petroleum oils from Turkey in January 2022 totaled $2.9 million, which is a decrease of 69.4 percent, compared to $9.5 million in December 2021, Trend reports via the National Statistics Office (Geostat).
The same figure, however, increased year-on-year by 163.6 percent, compared to $1.1 million in January 2021, and by 11.5 percent, compared to $2.6 million over the same month of 2020.
Thus, Turkey ranked 6 among TOP-10 petroleum and petroleum oils exporters to Georgia in January 2022. Meanwhile, Romania ($19.1 million) ranked first, followed by Turkmenistan ($13.9 million), and Azerbaijan ($11.7 million).
Georgia’s total imports of petroleum and petroleum oils in January 2022 amounted to $72.7 million – an increase of 98 percent, compared to $36.7 million over the same period of 2021.
The same figure also increased by 41.4 percent, compared to January 2020 ($51.4 million).
