Azerbaijan exported over 1.7 million tons of oil to Italy in January 2022 or almost a half of the total volume of the exported products, Trend reports with reference to the Azerbaijani State Customs Committee.
According to the State Customs Committee, in value terms, oil worth about $1.04 billion was exported to Italy during the reporting period.
Azerbaijan as a whole exported over 3.5 million tons of oil in January 2022, which is by 12.67 percent or about 580,718 tons less than in January 2021.
In value terms, oil worth more than $2.03 billion was exported in January 2022, which is by 33.06 percent or $671,703 more than in January 2021.
