SOCAR Turkey has taken its collaboration with SAP, the world’s leading provider of enterprise applications and software, one step further to become a data-centric company and support its growth strategy, Trend reports with reference to SAP.
SOCAR Turkey, which signed SAP Turkey, one of the largest SAP projects not only in Turkey but also in the region and in the energy sector, will integrate its SAP solutions dealing with various processes into the SAP S/4HANA System integrate and manage from a single center with the project called Project Earth.
SOCAR Turkey, increased its collaboration with SAP by implementing the Project Earth study to keep up with the digital transformation of the applications that manage the business processes of all group companies procedural and ensure organizational integration. SOCAR Turkey, which combines the STAR Refinery, SOCAR Distribution and SOCAR Storage systems on a single SAP S/4HANA system; With Project Earth, which it realized with SAP, it renewed its local and distributed systems with integrated solutions from SAP S/4HANA and Analytics Cloud. It is also ready to support the digital transformation of finance, centralized purchasing, commercial operations, maintenance, business analytics and master data management processes.
Project Earth, where more than 100 SAP consultants work, covering SOCAR Turkey’s Purchasing and Logistics, Wealth Management, Trade and Finance divisions Since the start of the project, more than 8,000 test steps have been completed using the remote working method. The project, which took 6 weeks to prepare, was completed in a short period of 16 months. The project, which aims to create an up-to-date, singular and centralized system instead of outdated and scattered applications, also aims to increase employee satisfaction. SAP S/4HANA, the next-generation ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) solution with in-memory technology that improves the speed and agility of SOCAR Turkey’s processes; It also paves the way for rapid, data-driven decision making.
