BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 24. The volume of oil extraction in Kazakhstan amounted to 15 million tons from January through February 2022, which is 9.2 percent more than during the same months of 2021, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.

Industrial manufacturing in the country increased by 4.7 percent compared to the reporting period of 2021.

Thus, the manufacturing of copper ore amounted to 19.2 million tons, which is 8.1 percent less compared to the reporting months of 2021. Manufacturing of petrol amounted to 0.8 million tons (corresponds to the volume over the same period of 2021).

Manufacturing of Portland cement was 1.2 million tons, which is 5.5 percent less than during the same period of 2021. Manufacturing of metal constructions was 11,500 tons (decrease by 2.2 percent), of electricity to 20.7 billion kWh (increase by 0.6 percent).

The manufacturing of mineral and chemical fertilizers also stood at 0.1 million tons, which also is 1.5 percent less than over the period from January through February 2021.

The value of products produced in Kazakhstan stood at 7.2 trillion tenge ($14.3 billion) over two months of 2022, of which 3.8 trillion tenge ($7.5 billion) accounted for the mining industry, and 2.9 trillion tenge ($5.7 billion) for manufacturing.

Production of crude oil and natural gas increased by 9.2 percent, beverages by 16.5 percent, tobacco products by 14.9 percent, rubber and plastic products by 8.7 percent, pharmaceuticals by 17 percent and other non-metallic mineral products by 2.1 percent.
