BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 24. The Esfahan Thermal Power Plant in the Isfahan Province (central Iran) generated about 2.84 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity over the last Iranian year (March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022), head of the thermal power plant Abbas Karimi said, Trend reports citing Iranian Energy Ministry.
According to Karimi, about 210 million kilowatt-hours of electricity was generated in the 12th month of the last Iranian year (February 20 through March 20, 2022).
Iran's Esfahan Thermal Power Plant is located on an area of about 74 hectares. The power plant has 5 units and can generate a total of 835 megawatt-hours of electricity.
The thermal power plant supplies about two-thirds of Isfahan Province’s electricity needs.
