BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 15. The volume of oil extraction in Kazakhstan amounted to 22.7 million tons from January through March 2022, which is 7.6 percent more than during the same months of 2021, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.

Industrial manufacturing in the country increased by 5.8 percent compared to the reporting period of 2021.

Thus, the manufacturing of copper ore amounted to 30.9 million tons, which is 2.5 percent less compared to the reporting months of 2021. Manufacturing of petrol amounted to 1.2 million tons (decrease of 3.9 percent compared to the same period of 2021).

Manufacturing of Portland cement was 2.2 million tons, which is 3.7 percent more than during the same period of 2021. Manufacturing of metal constructions was 17,800 tons (decrease by 1.2 percent), of electricity to 31.1 billion kWh (increase by 0.2 percent).

The manufacturing of mineral and chemical fertilizers also stood at 0.2 million tons, which also is 3.9 percent less than over the period from January through March 2021.

The value of products produced in Kazakhstan stood at 11.6 trillion tenge ($25.8 billion) over three months of 2022, of which 6.1 trillion tenge ($13.7 billion) accounted for the mining industry, and 4.6 trillion tenge ($10.4 billion) for manufacturing.

Production of crude oil and natural gas increased by 7.6 percent, beverages by 19 percent, tobacco products by 22.4 percent, rubber and plastic products by 15.2 percent, pharmaceuticals by 18.2 percent and other non-metallic mineral products by 12.4 percent.
