BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 19. Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR has supplied 770 million cubic meters of gas to Georgia in the first quarter of 2022, Trend reports with reference to the company.

Reportedly, the company’s gas exports to Georgia grew by 50.6 percent year-on-year.

The total volume of gas exports from Azerbaijan stood at 5.9 billion cubic meters in the first three months of 2022, or 14.7 percent more as compared to the same period in 2021.

The total volume of gas production in Azerbaijan amounted to 11.8 billion cubic meters, or 13.5 percent increase year-on-year.

Azerbaijan is currently the main supplier of natural gas to Georgia. Gas is supplied to Georgia by SOCAR from the fields developed by the company. In addition, Georgia receives gas through the South Caucasus Pipeline from the Shah Deniz field.
