BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 26. The Russian side has presented primary information on two projects in Azerbaijan’s territories liberated from Armenian occupation [in the 2020 second Karabakh war], the country’s Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev said, Trend reports.

Mustafayev made the remark at a plenary meeting of the intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation between Russia and Azerbaijan on April 26 in Baku.

According to him, these are projects of a ground wind power plant with a capacity of 100 megawatts, as well as a project of small hydroelectric power plants with a total capacity of up to 20 megawatts.

"Azerbaijan is actively working in the field of renewable energy. Karabakh and East Zangazur [economic regions of the country] have great potential in terms of renewable energy sources. Contacts are ongoing with the Russian side on cooperation in this area," added the deputy prime minister.
