BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 23. Iran’s South Pars Gas Company (SPGC) produced more than 253 million barrels of gas condensate, over the last Iranian year (March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022), new CEO of the SPGC Ahmad Bahush said, Trend reports citing the company’s website.

According to Bahush, the company will take significant steps to increase production this Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through March 20, 2023).

The CEO added that the SPGC's refineries are currently operating at full capacity, and another processing plant will be commissioned in the near future.

"In addition, the South Pars Gas Company accounts for more than 75 percent of the country's gas production capacity," he said.

The SPGC refines rich gas extracted from the South Pars gas field.

The proven reserves of the South Pars Gas Field are estimated at 51 trillion cubic meters of gas, of which 36 trillion are extractable.
