BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 1. A 307-megawatt-hours gas unit (F-Class Gas Turbine Power Plants) of the Andimeshk Thermal Power Plant in the Khuzestan Province (southwestern Iran) is expected to be launched in the near future, said Abdol Rasoul Pishahang, Managing Director of Iran’s Thermal Power Plants Holding Company (TPPH), Trend reports citing the Iranian Energy Ministry.
The director said that at present, various equipment, generators, and so on are being installed in the gas unit of the power plant.
“In addition, a steam unit with a generation capacity of 144 megawatt-hours of electricity is being built at the power plant,” he noted.
Pishahang added that in total, the power generation capacity of the thermal power plant will be 451 megawatt-hours.
According to the official, the power plant is being built with an investment of 248 million euros. About 85 percent of the money is provided by foreign loans, while the rest by the Iranian Thermal Power Plants Holding Company.
