BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 13. Possible supply interruptions of Russian gas volumes would first affect the gas importers and traders, Germany-based E.ON company told Trend.
“For the time being, they would continue to be obliged to supply E.ON in accordance with existing contracts. This could also mean that they would have to purchase new volumes in order to fulfil their supply commitments to us.
Our business model is comparatively resilient and less cyclical
than business models of other companies. In the Energy Networks
segment, for example, financial effects from potential cyclical
changes in sales volumes are offset over time through regulatory
mechanisms.
Energy efficiency is an important part of our business. We offer
our customers solutions (from state-of-the-art industrial plants to
photovoltaic solutions for households) that enable them to
massively reduce their CO2 emissions. Last year alone, we saved
more than 100 million tonnes of CO2 with our customers,” said the
company.
