BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 27. The production of Iran’s Lordegan Petrochemical Company increased by 518 percent, during the first three months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through June 21, 2022), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Executive Director of the company, Mohsen Mahmoudi said, Trend reports citing Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company’s website.

Mahmoudi noted that the company produced more than 293,000 tons of urea and ammonia within 3 months.

“Meanwhile, in the 3rd month of the current Iranian year (May 22 through June 21, 2022), the Lordegan Petrochemical Company produced over 61,600 tons of urea, an increase of 874 percent, compared to the same month last Iranian year,” the director added.

The Lordegan Petrochemical Company was officially launched on November 26, 2020. A total of 756 million euros and 11.2 trillion rials (about $267 million) was spent on the construction of the company's plants. The company can produce 670,000 tons of ammonia and 1.08 million tons of urea annually.
