BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 25. The total value of gas exports by Azerbaijan significantly grew in 2022, the State Customs Committee told Trend.
According to the committee, this figure amounted to $14.99 billion, up by $9.45 billion (more than 2.7 times) compared to 2021.
Azerbaijan exported more than 18.9 billion cubic meters (bcm) of natural gas last year, which is 1.08 billion cubic meters (5.4 percent) less than in 2021.
The share of gas in the total export of the country in the specified period amounted to 39.29 percent.
In 2021, Azerbaijan exported nearly 20.04 bcm of natural gas, which is 7.6 billion bcm (38 percent) more than in 2020. Export of natural gas in value terms amounted to more than $5.5 billion, which is growth of 2.5 times on annual basis.
