BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 1. Gas production at Azerbaijan's Shah Deniz field will be reduced next week according to the August 5–9 scheduled maintenance program of export gas pipelines, Tamam Bayatli, communications manager for Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Türkiye, told Trend.
The Turkish BOTAS company announced maintenance on two sections of the Trans-Anatolian Gas Pipeline (TANAP) during the first ten days of August.
Maintenance is also underway on the European section of the Southern Gas Corridor, the Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP).
According to an informed source, during the TANAP and TAP suspensions, gas volumes from Shah Deniz will be redirected to Azerbaijani gas reservoirs.
The peak daily production at Shah Deniz this year is 79 million cubic meters.
