Salyan Oil Limited (SOL) accepted all claims laid by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, Husseyn Bagirov, the Minister of Ecology, said on Friday. “Though the polluted territory was treated, there are still some defects, revealed during the monitoring, which could be removed effectively,” he noted.
The company and the Ministry set up legal examination in October 2003 in connection with pollution of three different territories during oil production and transportation. The first covers 1 hectare, and the second вЂ" 200 m2.
According to Bagirov, the trial will continue until the SOL ensures complete treatment of the polluted territories. В"We attentively observe the activities of all companies, not only oil firms,В" he underlined.
The SOL is involved in the development of the onshore fields �Kursangi’ and �Garabagli’.
