The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) studies the necessity for extending the gas-compressor station (GCS) in the Neft Dashlati (Oily Rocks) field, the Ministry of Industry and Energy (MIE) told Trend.
"Earlier the GCS extension was envisioned, however, some changes in the station gas loading may take place in the nearest prospect. The point is the associated gas being extracted together with oil from the Chirag-1 platform is transported to this GCS and from there to the shore.
However, in the nearest time the associated gas is planned to be transported from Chirag to the Central Azeri platform, and from there to the Sangachal terminal”, the Ministry noted.
Due to this, the volume of the gas supplied to the GCS will reduce by 2,4 million cu m per day. В"Therefore, SOCAR studies with especial attention the issue of the object’s expansion necessity”, the department concluded.
