The American General Electric held presentation of the SCADA control system for specialists of the Ministry of Industry and Energy (MIE) and the Azenerji Joint Stock Company (JSC) at the MIE, Trend reports.
The spokesman for General Electric Nevin Polik said, the Company has no experience in Azerbaijan, however, is aware of all the country’s energy system problems.
"Due to our experience in the former USSR countries, in the Baltic countries, particularly, where 4 systems were installed by our company, we have studied the energy system of the countries.”, he noted.
Discussions of the Azerbaijan’s energy system current state, energy exchange with neighboring states and etc. have been held within the presentation framework.
The company’s representative noted the important role of the SCADA introduction for ensuring security systems from unauthorized interference.
The World Bank has approved allocation of credit for the Azenerji JSC control system improvement project and the SCADA system introduction in the amount of $48 million.
