The Azerbaijan International Operating Company (AIOC) continues talks with the Russian company Transneft on oil export via the Baku-Novorossiysk oil pipeline in the third quarter of 2005.
David Woodward, the President of the AIOC, said that Transneft initially accepted the order for pumping definite amount of the Azerbaijani oil in the third quarter, while later the company said that it could not accept the earlier accorded volumes in August.
В"Now we are continuing talks with Transneft in this respect,В" Woodward underlined.
Azerbaijan submitted an application for pumping 1.15 million tons of oil in the third quarter of 2005: 330,000 tons in July and 410,000 tons each in August and September. However, Transneft stated in August and September it could accept only 388,000 tons of oil.
