РђIOC SUSPENDED BAKU-SUPSA PIPELINE OPERATION

The Azerbaijan International Operation Company (AIOC) suspended yesterday the operation of the Baku-Supsa pipeline (”the western route”) according to the schedule, AIOC told Trend.

During the pipelinСЏs scheduled operation suspension its technical servicing will be carried out, particularly, some equipment will be replaced. It is the first scheduled halt in the current year.

AIOC suspended on 1 August also the operation of the Georgian terminal in Supsa, and also according to the schedule, where the oil comes from the Azeri-Chirag-Gyuneshli (ACG) oil field. Replacement of one of the hoses there, through which the oil from the Supsa terminal is delivered to the sea oil loading point, is supposed.

РђIOC does not plan to suspend the Azeri Light oil extraction from ACG at the moment of the scheduled suspension of the both objects operation. AIOC has the possibility to store 1 million barrels oil at the Supsa terminal and up to 4 million barrels at the Sangachal terminal.
