KFW MISSION ON ENERGY PROJECTS IN AZERBAIJAN OVER

Two experts of the KfW Reconstruction Bank completed their mission in Azerbaijan started on 8 August. The experts appreciated the second stage of the reconstruction of the electric transmission system and discussed financial prospects of the construction 330 kilowatt

Azerbaijan SDPS-Goranboy-Imishli electric transmission line (ETL), the Baku representative office of the KfW told Trend.

“Bank is ready to grant around 30 million euros on semi-commercial conditions. Crediting term is supposed to comprise 12-15 years. The KfW will rival with other commercial banks in the struggle for the project.

Therefore, the bank is due to present bids on financing scheme to the Azerenerji, determine the best financial bids and appeal to the government to get permission on involving of finances,” the representative office said.

The KfW financed energy projects on privileged conditions namely under 0.75% annual for 40 years with 10 years of grace period.

The length of the 330 kilowatt Azerbaijan SDPS-Goranboy-Imishli ETL can comprise from 100 to 110 km depending on the chosen route. The ETL envisaged for improvement of energy supply.
