“Gazexport LTD” (a daughter unit of “Gazprom”) delivered 3,246 billion cubic meters gas in January-August 2005 to Azerbaijan against 3,002 billion cubic meters during 8 months of 2004, Azerigaz told Trend.
According to the Azerigaz spokesman, in August "Gazexport” delivered 296 million cubic meters gas to Azerbaijan, which is for 54,6 million cu m less of the exported in July by the company.
The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) plans to buy some 6 billion of cu m gas from Gazexport in the current year at the price of $60 per 1,000 cu m. The natural gas is supplied to the country through the gas pipeline Shirvanovka-GaziMagomed.
