Azerbaijan plans to pump 800,000 tons of oil via northern route in Nov-Dec

The Azerbaijan International Operating Company (AIOC) plans to pump 640,000 tons of oil via the Baku-Novorossiysk oil pipeline by the end of the year. In November and December the AIOC plans to pump 320,000 tons of oil via the �northern route’. “The pumping might decrease in case the oil pumping operations via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline,” a source said.

In November to December the SOCAR plans to pump 160,000 tons of oil, of 80,000 tons month, via the pipeline. “In general, it is planned 400,000 tons of crude via the Baku-Novorossiyk route a month. In any case, Russia is in no condition to admit oil in more volumes,” the same source said.

In January to September the SOCAR shipped from Novorossiysk 1,298 million tons of Ural oil, or 689,000 tons down as compared to 2004. In this period the AIOC exported 1,683 million tons of oil via the �northern’ route.
