“Foreign companies do not complaint in relation to quality of Azerbaijani aviation kerosene at airports of Baku and Sumgayit. Around 100 planes daily refuel at Heydar Aliyev airport and aviation kerosene meets the state main standard,” Sabir ilyasov, the first deputy chairman of the AZAL State Air Lines Company, told Trend.

Russian media spread information that Russian Transport Control gave instructions to all Russian air lines companies to take measures excluding refueling of planes at the airports of Baku and Ganja as the Azerbaijani fuel was of low quality and disturbed the function of the filter, which lead to extra refueling.

According Ilyasov, it is an internal affair of Russia. “We have no problems in this direction,” Ilyasov said.

The kerosene is examined by several instances before delivery to AZAL Oil, the SOCAR told Trend.

The SOCAR sold 323,319,000 tons of aviation kerosene over the last 9 months of 2005 under the contract signed with Azal Oil.

The SOCAR also intends to continue sale of aviation kerosene to Azal Oil next year.
