“Azerbaijan and Ukraine will sign an intergovernmental agreement envisaging development of cooperation in oil and gas sector during the visit of the Ukrainian President, Victor Ushenko to Baku,” Natig Aliyev, the President of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), told Trend on Thursday.
According to Aliyev, the question is increase of sale of oil and oil products, participation of Ukranian Naftogas Company in development of the fields in Azerbaijan. “They addressed to us with such proposal, but we did not consider the issue. Ukraine also proposes us to participate in the project Odessa-Brody and transport our oil via this oil pipeline," he said.
“We will sign a general agreement envisaging proposals on these issues within the visit of the Ukrainian President,” Aliyev noted.
