Middle East Petroleum increased transshipment of bulk oil cargo through Dyubendi

Middle East Petroleum (oil trader and operator of Dyubendi terminal in Azerbaijan) transported in 2334871 tons of bulk oil cargo through the terminal in January-October 2005, which is by 4,5% more of the 2004 analogues period index, Middle East Petroleum told Trend.

The volume of received bulk oil at the terminal was 2436513 tons, which is by 8,2% more respectively. Last year the company transported 2814778 tons of bulk oil through Dyubendi terminal, and received 2730331 tons.

The vessels’ calls in the terminal in October constituted 109 163 tons, the trains’ departures - 70239 tons, as compared to October 2004 it is for 201654 tons and 145728 tons lower respectively. As compared to September, increase for 8499 is also and decrease for 51961 respectively recorded. This year Middle East Petroleum plans to transport 3,5 million tons of transit bulk oil cargoes.

Middle East is part of the Azerbaijan’s Azersun Holding and is specialized in transportation of oil from Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan. The Azersun Holding company was founded in 1992 and is dealing with manufacturing of food products and tares for them.
