The Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry filed a complaint to the plenum of the Supreme Court on cancellation of the sentence on territorial treatment made by the Civil Collegium on Economic Issues in regard to the Salyan Oil Limited (SOL), the Ministry told Trend.
“The document is currently under consideration at plenum. The legal hearing will depend on the sentence of this instance. If the plenum does not support our appeal, we will appeal to the Constitution Court,” the Ministry said.
The Ecology Ministry requires from SOL to pay 758,271,250 manats fine. The legal hearings started in October 2003. SOL is involved in development of the onshore Kursangi-Karabakhly field.
