During two days the plant at the factory EP-300 (part of State Concern Azerkimya) will resume its operation, which has been suspended at the result of the fire which occurred on 23 November 2005, deputy head of the Sumgayit executive power Akif Zeynlaov told Trend.

According to him, testing is currently going on. The cause of the incident is breakdown of the torsion shaft of one of the compressors, which led to the fire. On the gear wheel the toothings have been damaged which caused breakdown of the facility, bought in Europe. The fire itself occurred due to the spill of 500 litres of the industrial oil.

Zeynalov noted there were no chemical emissions, affecting the atmosphere at the result of the incident.
