SOCAR to export 500,000 tons of mazut from two ORPs in 2006

The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) closed a tender on export of mazut in 2006. The SOCAR told Trend 500,000 tons of mazut will be sold to the Singaporean company Petrofarm in 2006 from two Baku-based oil refinery plants Heydar Aliyev and Azerneftyag ORPs.

According to a source at the SOCAR, in 2006 Azerneftyag will export 200,000 tons of mazut of M-40 branch and 300,000 tons of Рњ-100 brand to Heydar Aliyev ORP. The Marketing and Economic Operations Department (MEOD) of the SOCAR will be involved in the export of the products from two plants.

The SOCAR said that deliver of mazut will be set up on Wednesday. Moreover, we expect to closed down a tender on export of naphtha from Azerneftyag ORP in the volume of 15,000 tons, the same source said.

Starting from January 2006 the MEOD, which is charged in export of oil products of Heydar Aliyev ORP and export of the Azerbaijani oil, has been granted with a right of independent export of products to world markets.
