President of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) Rovnag Abdullayev visited Lenkoran, Trend reports. He held meetings with the head of the Lenkoran district executive power Suleyman Mikailov. The goal of the visit is familiarization with the progress of the construction works, funded by SOCAR, the medical and diagnostic centre named after Tofik Ismaylov.
Commissioning of the centre is scheduled for the first half of 2006. It will meet all European standards and be supplied the up-to-date equipment for the amount of $2,7 million. 300 persons will be provided with permanent jobs. The equipemnt will be supplied by the German Siemens. The centres major line is treatment of kidney diseases.
The centres base was laid on 8 September 2005 involving the Azerbaijan president Ilham Aliyev.
