AzeriFugro to continue work for Agip KCO in Kazakhstan

AzeriFugro, a joint venture owned by the Azerbaijani-Dutch enterprise, will continue in April 2006 the geotechnical work at the order of Agip KCO in the Kazakh section of the Caspian, the company told Trend. The work will be carried out in the sea section not far from Atirau.

The company carries out survey of engineering properties of soil, as well as geo-technique under the construction of the pipeline from the artificial island to the coast. The laboratory researches are underway in Azerbaijan.

Part of work on the project was implemented last year. The drilling of geo-technical wells was carried out with the barge belonging to Kazakhstan. Two wells were drilled to the depth of 300 meters and roughly 4 to the depth of 150 meters.
